If you have any question about this statement or about your data, email us at the address above and put “Data protection” in the subject line.
2. What this statement covers
It covers personal data we collect through this website, through the sign-up form, and through the emails and text messages we send you afterwards. It explains the cookies, pixels and similar technologies used on this site. It does not cover other companies’ websites you reach from links here, such as a ticket agent’s site, which have their own privacy statements.
3. The information we collect
Information you give us
- Your email address and mobile number, entered in the sign-up form.
- A record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, the date and time, the page you signed up on and the IP address you used, and when you clicked the link in our confirmation email.
- Anything you send us, for example if you email us with a question or a data request.
Information collected automatically
- Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, and the date and time of your visit.
- How you reached us and used the site: the page or link that referred you, campaign tags in the link (such as utm codes), advert click identifiers added by Meta, TikTok or Google, and the pages you viewed.
- Approximate location (town or region and country), worked out from your IP address. We never collect your precise location.
- Cookie and pixel identifiers, only if you allow them (see section 7).
- Email and SMS engagement: whether our messages were delivered and whether emails were opened or links were clicked, so we know what is useful and can stop writing to people who no longer engage.
We do not ask for, and do not want, any special category data (such as health, ethnicity or religion) through this site.
4. How we use your information and our lawful basis
UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each way we use your personal data. These are ours:
| What we do | Information used | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Send you a confirmation email so you can confirm the sign-up is really yours (double opt-in) | Email address | Your consent, and steps taken at your request |
| Send you news about Craig David presents TS5 at South Park, Oxford by email and SMS: on-sale and presale dates, ticket links, line-up and event information | Email address, mobile number | Your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) |
| Send you news and offers about other events and shows promoted by Supermodified by email and SMS | Email address, mobile number | Your consent, given by ticking the box on the sign-up form |
| Measure visits to this site and which links and adverts bring people here (analytics) | Technical and usage information, analytics cookies | Your consent, given through the cookie banner |
| Advertising: tell Meta, TikTok and Google that a visit or sign-up came from one of their adverts, measure our adverts, and show adverts for our events to you or to people similar to you (see section 7) | Pixel and cookie identifiers, IP address, browser details, approximate location, and your email address and mobile number in hashed (scrambled) form | Your consent, given through the cookie banner |
| Keep a record of your consent and of any unsubscribe, and make sure we never message you after you have opted out | Consent record, email address, mobile number | Legal obligation (we must be able to prove consent) and our legitimate interest in respecting your choice |
| Keep the site and sign-up secure, and block spam and fake sign-ups | Technical information | Our legitimate interest in running a secure service |
| Answer your questions and data requests, and meet our legal and regulatory duties | Whatever you send us, plus the data the request concerns | Legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in handling enquiries |
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time (see sections 5 and 8). Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.
We do not make any decision about you based solely on automated processing that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
5. Email and text message marketing
When you tick the box and sign up, you agree to receive marketing from Supermodified Events & Marketing Ltd by email and SMS. That means:
- messages about Craig David presents TS5 at South Park, Oxford, such as when tickets go on sale, presale access, line-up news and practical information about the day; and
- messages about other events and shows we promote that we think you may like.
We will first email you a link to confirm your sign-up. Until you click it, we will not send you marketing.
How to stop: every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. To stop text messages, or to stop everything, email info@supermodified.uk from the address you signed up with and tell us which number or address to remove. We act on every request as quickly as we can and within 30 days at most. You can also ask us to stop only one channel, for example texts but not emails.
When you unsubscribe we keep your email address or mobile number on a suppression list, which is the only way to make sure you are not added back by mistake. We use it for nothing else.
6. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not let anyone else send you their own marketing using it. We share it only with:
- Third-party suppliers who provide our sign-up, email and SMS services, so that we can collect your sign-up and send you emails and text messages. They act only on our instructions, under a written contract, and may not use your data for their own purposes.
- Advertising and analytics platforms, only if you allow them through the cookie banner: Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and Google. See section 7.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and insurers, where they need it to advise us.
- Police, regulators or courts, where the law requires us to.
- A buyer or successor, if all or part of our business is sold or reorganised, who would then have to use your data in line with this statement.
7. Cookies, pixels and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Pixels (also called tags) are small pieces of code from advertising and analytics companies that load in your browser and tell them about your visit. We also use a server-to-server connection (Meta’s Conversions API and TikTok’s Events API) that sends the same kind of information directly from our website to those platforms.
Nothing except essential cookies is used until you choose. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you allow Analytics and Marketing. Until you allow them, no analytics or advertising cookie is set, no pixel loads, and no visit or sign-up information is sent to Meta, TikTok or Google, from your browser or from our server. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Essential
Needed for the site and sign-up form to work, and to remember your cookie choice. These do not need consent.
| Name | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| supermodified_consent | Remembers your cookie choice | 6 months |
Analytics (only if you allow it)
Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages and links work, so we can improve the site. It also receives a “sign-up” event, without your email address or phone number, when you sign up.
| Name | Provider | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | 2 years |
Marketing (only if you allow it)
The Meta pixel, the TikTok pixel and Google’s advertising tags record that you visited this page and, if you sign up, that a sign-up happened. We use this to see which adverts lead to sign-ups and ticket sales, to stop showing you adverts for something you have already signed up for, and to show adverts for our events to you, or to people with similar interests, on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Google.
When you sign up, we send each platform your email address and mobile number in hashed form, meaning they are turned into a one-way code before they leave your browser or our server. The platform can only use the code to match you to an account it already holds. It cannot read your email address or number from it. Alongside it we send your IP address, browser details, approximate location and the platforms’ own cookie identifiers, which helps them match the sign-up to the right advert.
| Name | Provider | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| _fbp, _fbc | Meta (Facebook, Instagram) | 3 months |
| _ttp, ttclid | TikTok | 13 months |
| _gcl_* | Google Ads | 3 months |
For collecting this information on our site and passing it to them, Meta and TikTok are joint controllers with us. What each platform then does with the information is set out in its own privacy policy: Meta, TikTok and Google. You can also manage the adverts you see in your Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Google account settings.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Erase your data (“the right to be forgotten”), where there is no good reason for us to keep it.
- Restrict how we use your data, for example while a correction is checked.
- Data portability: receive the data you gave us in a common electronic format, or have it sent to another organisation.
- Object to our use of your data where we rely on legitimate interests. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing: if you object, we stop.
- Withdraw consent at any time, for marketing messages (section 5) or cookies (Cookie settings link).
To use any of these rights, email info@supermodified.uk. It is free. We will reply within one month, which the law lets us extend by up to two more months for complex requests (we will tell you if so). We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that we never give your data to someone else.
9. International transfers
Some of our suppliers and the advertising platforms process data outside the UK, including in the European Economic Area and the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations (including the UK-US Data Bridge for certified US companies), or by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards.
10. Keeping your information safe
This site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to sign-up data is limited to the people who need it, our suppliers are bound by contract to keep it secure and confidential, and we hash email addresses and mobile numbers before sending them to advertising platforms. If a data breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we will tell you and the Information Commissioner’s Office as the law requires.
11. Children
This sign-up is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, email us and we will delete the details.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first at info@supermodified.uk and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113, or write to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
13. Changes to this statement
We will update this statement if the way we use your data changes, and change the “last updated” date above. If a change is significant, for example a new purpose, we will tell you by email before it applies and ask for your consent again where the law requires.
